For those following my activities, every week so far has been full of exciting events, projects, and undertakings. Well, this week was essentially the opposite. I made no plans for the week, and didn't have much going on at work.
Last weekend Jesus and I probably racked up about 40 miles by bike. My backs been bothering me this week, so I started the weekend out biking ten miles to a chiropractor. Then Jesus and I biked ten miles to a football field to do sprints after that.
There’s something oddly satisfying about achieving a qualitative personal goal. It’s not one that’s like “I’m going to learn today” or “today I’m not going to say anything negative,” but those really specific, palpable ones.
It’s hard to believe that there’s only three weeks left here in DC. My major accomplishement this week has been hitting 11,111 words on my biogrpahy document!
The beginning of this week has been rather mundane. At this point in the internship I’m pretty settled into my daily routines. I know what I need to get done everyday and all the projects I have are very similar to things I’ve been doing throughout the summer.
We’ve pretty much all been in denial. I admit it’s hard to accept that the end is near (He, Infinity War reference, hehe). The 7 weeks of this summer has been filled with fun and chill times, exciting adventures and awesome new friends.
This week has gone a lot slower than the past few. The intern group hasn't had anything planned particularly, but that doesn;t mean we haven't gotten things done!

After finding out that my project had met its match: the software Goliath. I felt like David in that scenario. This week has been wildy productive, though. My poster draft is due on Wednesday and final (newly updated) abstracts are due to NASA by next Friday.
