Carissa Giuliano

Biography

I am going into my senior year at Adelphi University, where I am a physics major in our S.T.E.P. Program (Scholar Teacher Education Program). I am currently the President of Adelphi's SPS chapter; I have been on the executive board since the beginning of my first year! I have helped organize events such outreach events with a local high school, volunteering events with a local museum, and alumni-centered events. I have been a recitation leader and tutor for physics at Adelphi for almost two years. I conduct research at Adelphi about the physics of the sense of smell, and this summer, I am excited to participate in a biophysics REU at Boston University! After college, I plan to teach high school physics.
