Nathan Killough

Biography

I am entering my senior year as a physics major at Illinois Wesleyan University. I am also pursuing a minor in Jazz Studies and a concentration in Optics. I have been involved in SPS at IWU since my freshman year and I was elected as the president of our SPS chapter for last year and this coming year. My main interests in physics are optics and photonics, for which I have based a few research projects on. Currently, I am working on a project using holography to achieve super-resolution microscopy. In my free time, I enjoy playing the saxophone, fishing, and learning Japanese. In the future I would like to pursue a PhD in optical physics and after that, who knows!
