SPS Leadership Scholarship
I am currently a junior at Utah State University, majoring in physics with minors in mathematics and chemistry. I was the Activities Chair this past year in SPS, and I have been elected to be the SPS president next year. The main focus of our chapter has been outreach, and I have enjoyed organizing and participating in numerous outreach events over the last year. My most recent research activities have been with carbon nanotube field emission and using carbon nanotubes as biological sensors. This summer I will be doing a summer internship at NIST in Gaithersburg. I hope to go to graduate school to study condensed matter physics and eventually do research at a national laboratory or as a professor.
