Cielo Medina Medina

Biography

I am approaching my senior year at Central Michigan University studying physics with minors in computer science and mathematics. My work thus far includes working on computational exploration for materials for energy applications at Central Michigan University and a physics education-focused research on investigating the experiences of physics college students at Central Michigan University. I have been a member of the CMU chapter of SPS since August 2019 and will be part of the e-board in the upcoming academic year. I also advocate for women in STEM and physics in particular; I run a social media account where I share personal experiences in college as a female physics student and try to inspire girls to pursue a career in science. After graduation, I intend to pursue a doctorate degree in physics, in either high energy particle physics or cosmology. In my free time, I enjoy working out and choir.
