After an epic 4th of July, my weekend was very laid back. Saturday, I caught up on laundry and Star Trek (TNG) episodes. Sunday, Ashley and I headed to the Pentagon City Mall for a day of shopping.

This past week has been absolutely packed! The big thing around town last weekend was of course the Fourth of July and I was not disappointed by the celebrations! On top of all the extra things happening around here, it seemed like Vassar descended on the capital!

This week was not altogether that different from last. I went to events, continued to write memos and draft letters. Overall, there were no complaints. I’m learning my way through the underground tunnels and confusing hallways of the Capitol.

Highlights of this week include birthdays and the next generation. The birthday is of course America's, but the next generation was somewhat more interesting.
